Yay, you found me!

 

I'm Sharron Northcott, born and raised in New Zealand's North Island. Like a good lot of us kiwis, I uprooted my family during the search for employment and made the big move over the Tasman to settle in Australia. That was more than two decades ago and while I love our life here, I’m still that girl from Palmy.

When COVID hit, our movements were smothered and many of us in Australia – indeed all around the world - were deeply affected. In early 2022, we faced the heartbreaking loss of our dear dad back in Aotearoa. Everything was made more challenging with the COVID lockdowns in Australia keeping 3 out of 4 of my siblings (including me) from returning home. It was tough, to say the least.

How did I come up with T-Haere?

It was during this time I also began looking for a new business venture. With a nod to our clean, green mentality as kiwis, I decided on eco-friendly stainless steel water bottles. And in honour of our father, I named these snazzy new bottles “T-Haere”, a contraction of his middle name.

​

As a creative way to strengthen those connections to our homeland and to one another, each bottle is etched with affectionate nicknames of New Zealand towns.
